In this test, you can view information about the critical failure (Crash) of the communicator that has occurred. By default, it is empty, but if you provoke a failure (crash the communicator), after a reboot, the dump of the error that occurred will be displayed on the screen. The animation shows a crash dump caused by an access violation that was triggered by Test 37. The dump scrolls down one line per second, upon reaching the last line, it starts again from the first four. The lines contain various codes and contents of registers of the processor at the moment of failure. It looks like all values are 32-bit. They're called: Catg, Resn, Faul, Exid, Code, Data, Xtra, Stat, Exit, Rsn, UR(0-F), UCPS, UDAC, SR(0-F), SCPS, SDAC. The dump is cleared from the communicator's memory after the first full shutdown (removal of the battery) and the test becomes empty again. It is possible to provoke a critical failure not only with Test 37 and Test 38, but also with any restart program for S80, which perform a complete reboot of the communicator, causing a failure. |
