Nokia DCT3 Net Monitor - activation

Activation of the engineering menu "Net Monitor" on DCT3 (3210, 3310, 6210, 7110 and etc.) platform phones

The DCT3 platform includes the following models:

Also, this activation method is suitable for 9210/9210i/9290, although they refer to a separate platform DCTL, their telephone parts (CMT) are compatible with DCT3.

1. Connecting to a computer

Connection to a computer can be made using COM cable or IR port. The IrDA option is simpler, but not all models with it support "Net Monitor" activation via IrDA. These phones require a cable. Business models (6xxx and some 5xxx/7xxx) are officially designed for cable connection and have a connector brought out to the outside. They are compatible with DAU-9(P) (6110/6150/5110) and DLR-3(P) (6210/6250/7110) cables. For more recent models, you can also use the old DAU-9(P), which is not officially supported. For models of other segments that are not officially intended for connection to a PC (but such a possibility exists), you must use unofficial MBUS / FBUS cables. They are inserted into the battery compartment and the spring-loaded contacts rest against the pads on the phone's board.

2. Installation of special soft

To activate the menu, you need the appropriate software, such as LogoManager (recommended) or Oxygen Phone Manager. Both programs can be downloaded from the "PC software" tab. Installation is simple and straightforward.

3. Menu activation

After establishing a connection with the phone, depending on the program:

LogoManager: menu "Tools" -> "Network Monitor...", in the appeared window of outputs, click "Enable...", depending on the desire, select the "Field Test" mode (basic network tests 1-19) or "Engineering" (full set of tests), press "OK"
OPM: menu "Phone" -> "Network Monitor", select "Activate" to activate the "Engineering" mode (the "Field Test" mode cannot be activated in OPM)

4. PROFIT!!!

After activation, the phone will reboot and the item "Net Monitor" of interest to us will appear as the last item in the main menu. This completes the activation process!
